Come and see a job in progress
Photographs are the end of the story. They show a finished room, lit well, on a good day. They do not show how the site was left on a Tuesday afternoon, how the dust was kept out of the rest of the house, or how the people next door were spoken to when the lorry turned up.
Those are the things that decide whether living through a build is bearable, and they are the hardest things to judge from a website.
So ask to see one
If you are weighing us up, ask. We will speak to the client, and if they are happy we will arrange for you to walk round a job while it is still open.
You get to see the parts nobody photographs: how the first fix is run, whether the site is tidy at four o'clock, how the joinery is scribed before it is filled and painted. And you can ask the client what we were like to have in the house, with nobody from Swanbourne Construction Ltd standing over the conversation.
It is probably the most useful hour you can spend before choosing a builder.
What is running at the moment
We are finishing a 50m² rear extension at 29 Victoria Road, Bognor Regis — bifold doors, a full knock-through, a tiled floor over underfloor heating, a separate boiler room and a fibreglass roof carrying two roof lanterns. It is near completion rather than finished.
Read the Victoria Road extension in Bognor Regis, or ask to come and look at it.
Ask to visit
Or the landline on 01243 256796, or WhatsApp if a photograph would say it quicker.
Tell us roughly what you are planning and we will try to match you to a job at a similar stage — there is not much point showing someone planning a bathroom a loft at first-fix.
What we will not do
We will not turn up at a client's house with a stranger unannounced. Every visit is arranged with the client first, and if they would rather not, that is the end of it. We would extend you the same courtesy when it is your house.
